My journey

My love for food began early in life, where the kitchen became my creative playground. In school, I found joy in cooking and baking, using food as a way to express myself. This passion led me to study Catering at GCSE and later, a Level 3 Diploma in Food and Nutrition. I was fascinated by the artistry of food presentation, always seeking to create dishes with that 'wow' factor. This enthusiasm grew beyond the kitchen when I began sharing my baking creations on Instagram, building a community of fellow food enthusiasts who shared my love for both creativity and flavour.

As my interest in food deepened, I became curious about the science behind it—the roles different foods play in our bodies and how to balance delicious flavours with health benefits. This curiosity led me to pursue a degree in Nutrition, Exercise, and Health at Plymouth University. The program broadened my understanding of the critical role nutrition plays in overall wellbeing, blending scientific knowledge with practical applications. It also taught me how to apply evidence-based principles to real-life situations, empowering me to guide others toward healthier lifestyles.

During my final year, while working on my dissertation, an independent research project, I had a moment of clarity: I wanted to turn my passion into a profession by launching my own freelance nutrition practice one day. To gain valuable experience working one-on-one with clients, I embarked on a career as a Health and Wellbeing Coach within the NHS, serving across a Primary Care Network of GP surgeries. In this role, I discovered the powerful synergy between personalised health coaching and evidence-based nutrition guidance.

This realisation sparked the creation of Avobite Nutrition, where I combine my expertise in nutrition with personalised coaching to help others achieve their health goals. My journey has been fuelled by a deep passion for food and a commitment to helping others live healthier, more vibrant lives.
